I, like Graham on Corrie, want to 'learn to butch.' :D
I wondered if anyone knew of any pig butchery courses, including curing, sausage making etc north of Birmingham.
We are in North Nottinghamshire and the only courses I have found on line are all pretty far south, We are willing to travel up to a couple of hrs but Devon etc is a bit too far!
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. :)

I also have been looking for something. I have not tried my local colleges yet.
North West for me.

Just spent a while watching www legourmet.tv videos. When you find a British instructor they will probably do it differently to the Canadians but still worth a look.

Just been on google - no idea about them but you could try these people

Thanks. These people are about 10 miles away!!! Brill :)
The next pig course is tomorrow, can't do tomorrow, taking pigs to slaughter, how ironic.

We have purchased and watched, 'a pig in a day with Hugh and Ray' from River Cottage. Very informative and has spured us on to try our hand at butchery in the future. I would recommend this DVD. :D
