[too many girls]

my hens usually lay darkish brown eggs, today though we've had 9 almost white ones, can anyone tell me why? is there something lacking in their diet? they free range from 8 in the morning till they decide to go to bed and are fed on layers pellets supplemented with wheat, they also get garlic powder, rhinestone flour, cod liver oil, and apple cider vinegar in their water, not to mention the handfulls  of barley we chuck for them through out the day, i'm not bothered about white eggs as they taste the same, just wondered why.

It could be the sudden heat wave.  High temperatures can make them lay pale eggs !

I just came on to ask advise about my Black Rock who has started to lay white eggs and looks like I am not the only one with the problem!  I thought it was diet related too but relieved to hear its probably the hot weather, Makes total sense, don't know what I would do without all the knowledge you guys have!!
