Pumpkin picking when?
« on: September 03, 2007, 12:56 »
When do I collect my pumpkins?  They are of the giant kind and are v. large now but sort of pale apricot coloured.  I tapped them and they sound hollow but the plants have not yet started dying down.

When to pick??

you can pick them now if you wish ,feeding them still to get bigger is an option .depends on what you want them for ,cut the stem about 3 inches from the pumpkin with a very sharp knife .leave to sit for a day to dry the wound off and thenj remove t :) o storage
still alive /............
