I've had my glass lean-to greenhouse for a very long time - no problems with it and I am sure it has out-lasted a poly version and (fingers crossed) will continue to do so for years to come.

Other free-standing greenhouses simply couldn't take the force of the exceptional blasts of wind. The lean-to is a much stronger construction (on the side of a long garage wall) and in the lee of the worst winds that we get once every few years.
