I know I'm planning ahead here, as we've only just had the flowers, but now I've located a good elder tree I'm looking for ideas about what to do with the berries.  Is there anything apart from elderberry wine?

A friend makes an elderberry & plum jam which is nice, but I cannot find the recipe. Other friends make elderberry jelly as they don't like the seeds.

what do elder berries taste like ? anything like the flowers?  just wondering as made lots of cordial and a little champers so wondered about making things with the berries too, but not sure if i would like the taste

The berries don't taste anything like the flowers. They are a rich, distinctive slightly acidic flavour
