Picked up 3 new POL's today to replace my original girls.
Id forgotten how small they are at that age and extremely jumpy, I expect they'll be mugging me for food soon enough though :D Pictures will follow if I can get them to stand still !

Lovely! I look forward to pictures. :)

I know what you mean about trying to get photos. If you use food to keep them still you only get a rear end view!!
Look forward to seeing your new girls. :)

looking forward to photos of your new girls lardman and to seeing yours Tosca when you decide which sort to get

Oh it was fun at bed time. ::) After I finally managed to get them into the coop I gave up trying to get them on the perch. This morning everyone seems happy, no major fights.
OH MY GOSH THE POOH... I swear this lot have produced as much overnight as my last lot did in a week !
We're going to see a breeder today, tis exciting! :D
:D Bet you get pictures first. I can't get a picture of a bottom even with food as a distraction.
My breeder was really low on stocks - supply problems apparently, although I would have like to brought her black lab home with me too. :D Must be going soft in my old age :nowink:

Its a start ..
"the grey one" - Old bloke next door says a bitza with some Plymouth rock in there somewhere, knowing the breeder has meadowsweet birds I'd guess and speckled star?
I still have the white one and the black one to snap but I know they're a white star and a black star. The black star is already squatting so Im taking that as a good sign. :D

She's a pretty girl. :D One of our birds was a Scots Grey, so not totally dissimilar in appearance. :)
-
She's lovely! Can't wait to see the other pics too. We have to wait til early June before our Black Rocks are ready to collect.

Oooo she's lovely. We have chosen our girls to pick up on Tuesday. They are a warren, a black rock and a speckledy, all pol. The lady who we are getting them from also said they are in short supply and eggs will be going up.

Found this small egg in the coup this morning, not in the nest box.
Either my last original girl has started to produce bite size breakfasts or the new black star is laying. :D Must find my golf ball to put in the nestbox.
They are a warren, a black rock and a speckledy, all pol.
I had originally gone for a black star / white star and a warren but I think as the traditional image of chicken they're bought first and she had none left. I think its nice to have both a visual mix of chicken and a mix of egg colour / size too.
