Oh yus!  I remember that. We couldn't get the car out of the drive and were very low in the pellet area. We trudged up the hill in the white stuff with me shopping trolley to buy a sack of spuds so that the girls wouldn't starve until we could get out to buy pellets.
Brother in law came to the rescue with his snow chains and tyres and brought some layers pellets over to us.

We always keep extra in during the winter now. :blink:

Went and stocked up on food today but forgot the wood shavings. With them staying longer in the coop due to the short daylight hours I'm having to clean it out more often plus I'm putting a thicker layer in for extra warmth.

When I let them out yesterday and checked the water in the run it was fine. But what did they want? The water in the shallow bowl that was frozen. Broke the ice and then they all went nuts trying to get the ice cubes away from Nannie who was intent on eating it.

Nuts, totally nuts.
