Do any of you have a chicken tattoo?
I'm booked in to have one done soon. Wanted one for ages and asked family to chip in instead of buying me birthday pressies (that was October), been waiting so long because I wanted a artist to do it instead of a high street parlor.
I found this on the net (it's nothing like mine tho) but I really like it.

You really love your chickens!
One tattoo mad girl I knew only hesitated when she considered how she'd look on her wedding day....
-
A Henna tattoo is the one for you ! :)
-

-
I know a former member on here Dizzy Lizzie also had a chicken tattoo as she was very involved with the British Hen Welfare Trust. :)

It's ok Nerdle, I'm already married, had babies.... Covering up the stretch makes with art work seems like a good option. ;)
I love love my chickens and tattoos. I've wanted something artistic for a while and thought why not have a chicken? It's going on my thigh, my husband is already calling me 'poultry thighs'!
-
:D :lol: ::) :lol: :D :lol: ::) :lol: :D
-
Just had an image of poutry thighs and drumstick legs flash before my eyes.
-
It'll look fab!! I put the idea forward to my parents, but their response wasn't exactly ummmmm....enthusiastic. Anyway, Im excited to see the finished result!!
-
Where on your body are you putting it :)
I do quite like the one above but would have had it done the other way so the hen was standing when the arm was down, if that makes sense :D
-
It's going to be on my thigh, a young Brahma pecking at the ground.

Nice choice of chook breed! As soon as I get my ears pierced I'm finding some chicken earrings!!

Oops, misread your post ANHBUC
You will need more than one pair!! blush
I thought you meant needed more than one pair of thighs....... did wonder how big the Brahma was going to be lol
-
It would be fun to make ear-rings out of small downy moulted feathers - the personal touch!
I've collected some wing feathers and might embellish a lampshade!
-
So, here it is, not quite finished yet but I'm happy with it. It's a little sore at the moment.

Ouch!!
But it is very artistic, looks lovely.
Look forward to seeing it when its healed :)
-
Blimey, that does look sore  Did it hurt :(
Beautiful bit of work, how big is it.
-
OMG you did it! Is it the inner thigh perhaps? Wise not to show too much of your anatomy - some of the male chicken people here would get too excited!
-
 It's just above my right knee and slightly to my right but still on the front of my leg (does that make sense?).
It's 5 inches wide and 7 1/2 inches tall/long.
The pic was taken just after it was done so looks very red, it's gone down a lot now. It did hurt and is still a little sore but not any where near as bad as I thought it would be. I do have to go back and get it finished in the new year but I'm happy to wait a little while.
-
Ouch, lovely artwork though.
Are you using bepanthen on it? My son in law has had loads of tattoos done and he says it is the best thing to use.
-
I'm using 'Black Cat', I don't rub a real cat on it or anything (not sure how that would work), just the herbal balm they supply when you get tattoo'd.
