Lots of helpful advice - hope Growster avoids the smear campaigns and finds the perfect final solution.

It's all the downstairs windows today...

Trouble is, whenever we chuck a load of 'Raid' flykiller around it usually lands on the windows, so while it's nice to have got rid of the blasted fly, the windows look a right mess!

Had a new pane fitted and the man left me this by a company called Sealfix.   1ltr Non Smear Glass Cleaner.
They are in Alton Hants and will post out to you.   01420 520805,  good luck.  Mrs Bouquet

Thank you, Mrs B!

I'll look them up! We've got a couple of 'blown' double glazed units, and I've half a mind to just take the nasty one out, cut it down to a single pane and pop it back in! They charge an arm and a leg for a new unit, and it's only a small fanlight!

(Do Sealfix deliver newspapers as well - just a thought...;0)

Mr G, we bought replacement double glazed units on line a lot more reasonable priced than local, can ask hubby if he’s still got the name of the company if they’re still around?

That would be great, Snows, thank you!

They always look a mess when they're 'blown', but d'you remember a story of some place where the horrible condensation looked like some sort of religious apparition, and hundreds of people thought it was a 'sign'?

Ours just looks disgusting!

We've inherited a few blown ones but they'll just have to wait their turn in the list of priorities. At least you can't tell which is the water vapour and which are the smears!  ;)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
