Hi

Once you've made comfrey feed , where do you store it and how long does it last ?

Cheers

It stores indefinitely, getting stinkier and stinkier ( a good thing!). I just leave it in my shed, I make mine in old mineral water bottles. I have some laid down for next year.

As someone demonstrated on Gardener's World recently, you can make comfrey juice without the smell by effectively crushing it under bricks.   I keep mine in a closed container used by a previous tenant who had marked it "Comfrey feed" and it doesn't now smell unless I take the lid off.

Hi MM, do you leave the decomposing leaves etc. In over winter? I usually sieve after 3\4 weeks and store in plastic bottles but have a couple of buckets brewing and would like to leave it, do you think it will be ok?
Thanks

I'm curious, why not just compost comfrey and apply that?  What is the benefit of juicing instead?

I do cut comfry leaves and put them on the heap as an accelerator but make a liquid fertiliser which I use on tomatoes or pumpkin, cougette etc which saves money.

You get a liquid feed in which the nutrients are immediately available to plants.
