Dig it over just like the rest, if you keep disturbing them they will clear off, may take some time tho' or you could try using ant powder etc and killing it off

Dig it up and stand back quickly as they'll scramble everywhere, including up your legs. Once disturbed, they'll move on as they must protect their eggs, but often not as far away as you'd like so look for where they do move to.

Trilliums right, my ants nest moved about 3 foot!

Ants are well organised and will eventually take over the world so be kind to them.

ive become friends with my thousands of red ants that are all over my lotty .i was a  bit concerned about them at first (there is at least a dozen nests),and i thought about controling them, but i think they actually help!! ive seen them attacking snails and slugs, and other bugs .just leave them to get on with it, they wont do any harm. ;)

I have always found ants to be harmless provided that if you do happen to disturb them, keep clear. They do attack garden pests.

I made a small raised bed for my carrots at the beginning of the year, and filled it with 1 part sieved topsoil, 1 part sieved compost and 1 part sand.

My carrots love it to bits but unfortunately so do a zillion or so ants who've made a nest in one corner - killing the three carrots that were in that corner.  >:(
