Sorry if this is a repeated question.  I have had my eye on this particular
petunia, last year I bought loads for my baskets/hoppers, now I am T&M
thought I would try some from seed.  Today I have a loadsa calls from experienced gardeners to say that there petunias haven't germinated although it sounds like they are doing everything right...so what I am asking does anyone out there have successful germination with this petunia & if so, how do I go about getting it right first time, your answers are always greatly appreciated xxxxxxxxxx

They are quite tricky to germinate, so I've never bothered as you can get young plants ever so cheap, your compost might cost the same.

But I'm sure someone out there will have the experience, just be patient.

I grow petunia's every year from seed for the window boxes, I use multi purp compost seived watered before  sowing the seed, they are so small you don't want to wash them away ! then they go in the heated propagator, don't forget petunia seeds need light so don't cover them with anything
