Plums are quite notorious for sending up suckers and they can indeed be a little way from the main tree. IF that's what it is, then it's unlikely to be productive.

Ok, makes sense, I'll keep them for the moment and see what happens 👍

It's a Prunus Sucker or Seedlig I've recently mowed an orchard out,took about 80 of them out,did leave one that was next to a Victoria plum that had been pruned to a single stem last year by a fruit tree expert till make a nice new tree   jezza
