Fish,blood and bone
« on: April 18, 2019, 17:48 »
Went to garden centre today, and they only had a very large drum of it.   The gardener is coming early tomorrow, so I have nothing to add to the holes.    When I can get some, can I add it later ?   Mrs Bouquet

I use fish blood and bone on the lotty, and just sprinkle some around the plants and "tickle" it into the ground with a small fork.  If the ground is dry I then water it in.
As the plants grow I add a little more now and again throughout the season, and this seems to work fine.

Poundland has Growmore, Bonemeal and Fish/Blood/Bone in 750g quantities for £1
Our local poundstrecher also had the same, from 89p to £2.
The supermarkets all sell it too, 1kg at around £3

I often add a little more as the plants grow, Just sprinkle around the edge and water it in.

Thanks for your replies,  I am going to town tomorrow, so I shall check out Poundland and also Wilko.  That should smell nice on the bus.   Mrs Bouquet

Without trailing around every CG or shop I find Wilko's BFB contains the same ingredients in the same proportions and it's far cheaper as well. Why should I pay more for something with a recognised name?
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.
