Little room in the freezer and I have ten pound of Beans to pod. Any ideas what I could do with them thanks

You could skin, cook and blend them to reduce the volume.  Broad bean hummus is good and keeps in the fridge for a few days.  You could make some to eat and just freeze the puréed beans alone for future batches.

We did talk about bottling them on a thread a few weeks ago, but the advice was that you need to pressure cook the jars to make them safe, as they are a low acid food.

If you have any more on the plants, leave them in situ to dry naturally before picking.  They are a great store cupboard ingredient for winter soups and stews

Most of mine get eaten fresh, but do freeze a few tubs for Autumn and for over Christmas, a tradition.
They do freeze well, especially the younger picked ones.
I always add a load to jars of home made piccalilli along with runner beans and french beans, will be doing that next week.

Must admit I might be thinking of what to do with some too, as I've also filled the freezer and put aside the ones for the piccalilli.
Been one of the best years ever for broad beans. Normally have a great crop, but this year they have gone mad.
Not complaining as they are just scrumptious.
