What do you think these look like?

A chap in the village gave me a pic of his girls, and asked if I knew what they could be.

He thinks they are all crossbred as all the birds were wandering around together.

I thought the white one was an Amberlink, but it can't be as he said they are all bantams!!

The black one is all black, she has no red in her at all!

I've done a lot of research - books, internet etc and I'm 100% sure they are chickens! FERSURE!! :blink:

two look like brahmas or crosses of brahmas. they all look a little too big for a bantams

Rachel, When he saw my POL Welsummer, he said boy, she's big! But at the moment she is only the size of a hybrid, so his are smaller than hybrid size.

yep they are chickens and heinz 57 ones for sure so will probably have some silkie in them plus whatever cockerel was wandering around at the time

The white one looks like our Ambers, they were sold as bantams, they're not, they're not much smaller than our Sussex

You can get bantam brahma's but if they where crossed with them they would have some feathering on their legs, they look more like they are crossed with either Legbars or game birds.

Except for the lack of a crest two of them do look similar to my Cream Legbar. Maybe there is some legbar blood in them?

The all black one looks like our Poppy, so I asked the farmer what she was, 'Black bantam, good layer', typical farmer
