Where to buy seeds?
« on: March 04, 2011, 20:41 »
hi

I normally go to Wilkinsons but last year bought a few packs from ebay and they seemed to do very well.

Anyone got any good suggestions as to inexpensive yet quality seed suppliers?

TIA

This poll from last year is worth a look:

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

they have a good selection of veg  and flower seeds

I am not sure they are the cheapest but I like what they are trying to do - have a look at the real seed people http://www.realseeds.co.uk/ for some interesting stuff
Do not confuse with 'therealseedcompany' which seems dedicated to growing something less food orientated.

I have found that www.moreveg.co.uk do a good selection.

Prices are good as they sell in "small" amounts, as in what you would plant in a veg bed in a garden. E.g. Onions come in small packs of 60 at 50-60p usually.

Their range seems to have expanded so a fair choice.

Pretty quick at sending them out, last lot took 3 days to get to me.

What I like is that I can get 2 lots of something for £1 and try both types out instead of getting a pack of 200 seeds of which I won't use half and would have just one type to grow.

On ebay I have found both premier seeds direct & kitchen garden seeds to be excellent.  ;)
