been reading on these pages about alloment etc, and people seam to be taken often about a 3 year plan in there allotments, what does this mean ?
 
Is it something to do with the made crops your growing with make bigger/better fruit the longer you leave them ie 3 yrs !

It's crop rotation.

It refers to rotating different families of vegetables around different areas of the plot, to avoid diseases being built up. It takes three years to get back to the beginning ona  three year rotational plan/

Four for four years obviously, which lots also use, with potatoes having their own 'famil' not join in with root veg.
