both are breeds that people are scared of but as you can see they are just big teddy bears  :D

Having been attacked twice by dogs I'm very nervous of bad owners.

John you have hit the nail on the head there - it is not the dogs but the owners who are bad, the trouble is you cant always tell by looking at the owners whether they are good or bad owners. They can be a hoodie wearing thuggish looking person with the softest Staffordshire bull terrier dog or an elderly lady with a little Yorkshire terrier who after having taken a chunk out of your leg/hand/face etc claims Tiddles has never bitten before  :(. And yes Cara is right the slobber is the most dangerous thing with our Ollie or the risk of being barged out of the way who at over 10 stones is like a miniature tank  Charlie our elderly Newfoundland cross doesn't have the slobber problem but again being a huge dog with now failing eyesight (or just pure awkwardness) also has a habit of barging everything and everyone out of the way when she feels like it (why go round when you can go through seems to be her new motto ).
Staffies are softer than you think.

You could use an automatic feeder if she is on dried food, they dispense a set amount up to 3 times a day.  I have one I got for our cat for holidays so whoever is pet sitting only needs to check once a day.  They are really good for setting a routine and your pet doesn't have to wait to be fed if you get delayed.  It also stops her getting fed twice when she dupes you into thinking she hasn't been fed!

We often found our cat with her paw up the chute carefully extracting the food.  It did mean that her next feed was less though so she still didn't get fat!   ;)

They could be quite useful ANHBUC but I was thinking more in terms of starting the puppies off at 3 weeks. Lots of babyfood for them to stick their feet in several times a day  ::)
