He looks a lovely dog (some dissension from our coalition partners, the cats) :)

I do wish people would think rescue first when they want a pet - and have them done!

Eddie looks a real sweety, Joy. GS's are such babies at heart.

I really can't understand why this boy was a stray, he is so gentle (although very amorous towards his new big sisters), he is obiedient and house trained. But sadly he had no collar, tag or microchip and nobody had reported him missing  :(
We had no problems overnight so fingers crossed Eddie will settle in quite quickly, but we do have to build him up as he really is so skinny (must have been on the streets for a while).
He hasn't seen our feral puddle cat yet John so not sure how they will get on (the other two aren't very keen on the cat).
Staffies are softer than you think.

Since the cat is used to dogs, I expect it will just be a matter of letting the new dog know that the cat is part of the family and not to attack. You never know, they might end up best pals.

I wonder how long the rescue have had him? maybe he could have panicked at bonfire night, would explain him on the streets, but if so how far did the previous owners go to look for him? He sounds a lovely boy, hope all goes well

they have had him in since the beginning of December.
Sadly he has come down with kennel cough so it's off to the vets this afternoon and his little operation next week has been postponed  :(

well he now has a 10 day course of antibiotics and then we can book him in for his little op. He was as good as gold at the vets so well behaved, bless.
Today he helped me let the chickens out and was curious but didn't chase them. He is now answering to his new name and comes back when called - so really chuffed with him  :D
The two big girls are so good with him and have only had to put him in his place a few times.

Having just lost Beano the day before Christmas day I thought I woulod show my little ones off.

Beano was a Dandy Dinmont with the most amazing soft brown eyes.
Rosie was born behind our sofa
Sheeba was a rescue dog, we have had her eight years now but she was so badly treated when she was little she is still a little nervous even now.

I'm so sorry to hear you lost Beano. We all know it will come one day, but you hope for never in your heart.

Sheeba is so lovely - there's a special place in hell for those who mistreat animals.
