we had been sort of expecting it, Zed was a very poorly cat, what with his diabetes and acromegaly we knew he maybe didnt have long.

so sorry xx.
Even when you are expecting it the passing hits you just as hard. At least the end was peaceful and Zed wasn't alone.

Sincere condolences, Grendel. Went through that recently myself so know the heartache and emptiness. Just think of all the good times and it helps a lot.

so sorry for your loss Grendel, it does hit hard. :(

also your loss Trillium :(

Lovely ferrets :D

Here's  a happy pic of my choccy lab, Jack. We have just come back from a long weekend in the Isle of Wight and he had a whale of a time retreiving his training dummy from the sea. It's the one thing he really enjoys, now that he is totally blind. We put bells on is, so he knows which direction to run for it. :D

Beautiful pic. And what a good idea to put the bells on the toy.

Thank you, where' there's a will, there's a way ;) He's the happiest dog we've ever had, pity my lurcher doesn't like water, she doesn't get in many pics with him ::)

She prefers to run, a lot, but on dry land!

Love both your dogs! I have a soft spot for labs and lurchers, it was a toss up to see which would win, but Bonnie came along needing a home first. OH was a firm lurcher man before he met this lab, now he's confused!!!!!! :D

It's so lovely to see your lab doing what labs do best, despite his disability. I know of another who is just the same. She was found confused on the street, unable to see much, in very good condition. It is assumed she was abandoned when it was realised she had problems. She's a very happy and confident girl now, and retrieves like your Jack, noisy things.
