so why does she have to wear a muzzle - staffies aren't on the dangerous breeds list.

Staffies are softer than you think.

There is a man who drives past here now and again along the track, he had a Chihuahua, it was pure evil to anyone except the man- now that dog needed a muzzle!

That never ceases to annoy me how some dogs with bad temperments are not forced to be muzzled, yet certain big breeds are required to be muzzled despite the gentlest of tempers. Worse is the reason given - because we don't know if it will attack.

Well, almost any dog in temper will attack. It really is unfair when large dogs are required to be muzzled when the worst damage you'd get would be slobber stains.

I don't know Joyfull, I wondered that too, all I can think of is there are so many of the breed in this area that it's done as a precaution, needless to say she's never taken on walks much :(

friend of mines staffie mauled a jack russell once - the staffie was always muzzled and on a lead, but in this case he was in my friends tent having his food, the jack russel was riddled with cancer and attacked everything and everyone, it wasnt on a lead and went in the tent and attacked my friend, his staffie jumped in and attacked the intruder attacking his master mauling it quite badly - to my mind that wasnt either my friends or the staffies fault, the jack russell should have been on a lead and shouldnt have been in my friends tent or attacked him. irresponsible ownership of the jack russel in my view.

Here is a picture of Ash and Jenkins- playing!

Ash is a Staffi x greyhound- who most people think is pure greyhound, and is the blue boy

Jenkins is Staffi x greyhound x battering ram- and is a rescue

They are both great lads, and love to play!
