Smokey looks beautiful and is lucky to land on her feet.  The previous owners shouldn't be allowed to own any pets, disgraceful.  Well done you.   :D

I thought she looked like quite a youngster still. :) I'm glad you and she found each other, it sounds odd the owners didn't want her any more as they decided on staffies.

This is Smokey. I rescued her as a kitten from a busy road and had her since.  First cat we've had and didn't realise the pleasure they got from sticking their claws in to a soft leather couch!

I'm thankful ours doesn't fancy our new leather couch so we've left her favourite old fabric armchair to claw up. Better that than a fresh piece of furniture.

Smokey looks a real terror  :D

IMHO cat owners and staffie owners are a different set of people.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

not always Goosegirl as I have a Newfoundland x, a Neapolitan Mastiff, a Staffie and a cat, plus I know of lots of Staffie owners with cats   :)
Staffies are softer than you think.

I agree. Cats aren't always fussy what sort of dog their chosen servants happen to own.  ;)

I apologise - it was a stupid thing to say , and I like Trillium's comment, particularly the "servant's" comment!

Sadly some are. My pal works for the RSPCA told me there are 'trainers' who turn the breed into vicious dangerous dogs. He has the horrid job of deciding if they can be rehabilitated or ... Apparently they're trained to attack on keywords.

I'm a bit nervy about dogs (been attacked a couple of times) and a friend had a staffie who was the most gentle and loving dog you could meet. She even shielded me from their other dog who was a bit of a bounce around.
