My beautiful collie Oliver died about 3 weeks ago at the grand old age of 16 1/2.  Whilst on holiday we sent Ollie on his way on the top of Snowdonia. Indiana was on holiday with us and hubbie took this picture of him - isn't he lovely - we are helping each when we miss the old boy.

Wash your hands, stay at home, distance yourself

Awww, too bad about Ollie. It's like losing a child. Nice that you have Indiana as a major distraction

It's so sad when we lose our pets but the consolation is that we did our best when they were here with us. You never replace them in your heart, just in the house.

Oh, sorry to hear about Oliver, he must have had a good life with you to live to that great age. Indiana really is a handsome and intelligent looking fellow. :)

Thank you for your messages - Indiana is very lovable and is very loving.  But he is also very naughty at times - loves frog hunting and breaking into every door he's not meant to.  But that's a springer for you!!

so sorry for your loss :(  Indiana looks lovely.

We were outside a cafe on Saturday with our two dogs, when a man came up to us, hugged our lab then said "I've just lost mine". Somehow, sorry didn't seem enough.
They do leave a big gap in your life don't they?

When we lost our Barney (my picture) I was devastated, so you have my deepest sympathy.  Ollie looked a real character.  We had a border collie cross, Panda, she was a character too!

So sorry to hear about Ollie, I'm sure he had a wonderful life and you might get some comfort from the thought that he loved and was loved. What more could a dog ask for?

Jess (left) is 15 and the thought of losing her keeps me awake at night.

This is Smokey. I rescued her as a kitten from a busy road and had her since.  First cat we've had and didn't realise the pleasure they got from sticking their claws in to a soft leather couch!  :)

Thanks.  She must be about 2.  When I found her dodging traffic she must have only been a month old.  Shaking and soaked she was.  We managed to find the owner but they didn't want her anymore as they'd bought a pair of Staffs.
