Hi Thrift - is Bessie keeping OK. She is probably happier with this slightly cooler weather.

Bessie is in great form thanks Springlands  :D

She has totally recovered from the op and is enjoying herself enormously, especially when we walk over to her old haunts. Ben and Tiger the cat like to come too. She is very protective of Tiger and intervenes immediately if Ben is too boisterous towards him.

She is also starting to guard the house and issue warnings if there are strangers about. She is an adorable girl and I love her more and more.  :D

I have a sun lover and a shade lover too, what lovely dogs yours are.  :D

We have just returned from a short break to Symonds Yat where (amongst other things) we visited a tearoom. As you can see, Jack may be blind, but he "nose" a good cream tea when he smells one.

Pamela

He went blind through progressive retinal atrophy. He was a gundog, so his owner rehomed  him as he wanted to train up another dog. he was going to shoot him, but our vet's nurse persuaded him to wait and see if she could find him a home. She asked us if we wanted him, after our greyhound had to be put to sleep. He still loves to retrieve and do as much as he can, he's the happiest dog we have ever had.
