The thing is that the pumpkins you buy are probably grown in a field all of the same variety, so it's unlikely that they have crossed..........it's more likely in your own garden or on the allotment  :D

I have 8 varieties in all  pumpkins, squash, courgettes and cucumbers, all growing near each other..........so I will not be saving seeds, cos anything could happen :lol:

Oh well, I have the pumpkin next to most of the courgette plants, so if I saved seed I may have pumpettes or courkins then? My cucumbers are away (how far away do they need to be?), so may be safe?

Imagine the off-spring from a yellow courgette and one of those Giant-whatever-they're-called pumpkins. It might look like a yellow zeppelin!!  :lol:

Now a 'crazy' herb might have been worth the effort, but I'll never know ...........even in the sixties I was too scared to try, cos I saw some of the stupids things me mates were doing :ohmy:
