Title: Newbie Tomatoe Help Please :-)
Post by: gmbunn on May 02, 2010, 14:26
Hi folks,

This is my first post here, and my first attempt at growing my own veg too! I'm growing some tomatoes u got a bit ahead of myself with nder a large cloche but due to the mild weather and sun down in the south west over the last few months, theyve got ahead of me!

I'm growing three types - Gardeners delight, outdoor girl and moneymakers. All in tomatoe grow bags and ive got 4 plants of each type, so 12 strong plants in total. At the moment theyre all around a foot tall and some are beginning to flower. I've been picking off the 45degree shoots as recommended somewhere, but apart from that I'm clueless!

Can anybody offer any advice on what I should be doing at this stage? Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!!

Gary

There is some good video`s on youtube gary that may help in your quest  :) In each growbag the ammount ive always been told is 3 plants per bag,but i know use large tubs in the greenhouse instead  :)
