Well I advertised the cockerals locally a week ago but there were no takers.  So there I was this morning standing in the garden looking at the lads crowing and deciding on where was best to cull them (all with a screaming hangover!) when my mobile rang.

It was a chap from a few miles away offering the lads a home on his farm with lots of hens to run with 

He came straight around with his young daughter who thought the lads were smashing

I like a happy ending

Aaah. What brilliant news. I bet you were really chuffed, and the "boys" too I suspect!
Funnily enough, we were driving back home from visiting friends this afternoon, and saw a huge field of turkeys. I said to OH "I bet they havent got a calender up on the wall of their house!"
