Well, my husband kept on saying "No we won't have chickens here" - but guess what? yep, we now have some. Infact our neighbours started to build a chicken house up on the terrace above ours. We have now come to an arrangment where we have paid for 1/2 of the chickens and will contribute 1/2 of the feed costs and therefore have 1/2 of the eggs laid! Yes, I am a happy chicken myself now
There are 2 brown ones and 2 white ones with little black speckles on their necks. I have named them Gloria, Estafania, Maestra and Alumna (Spanish names for the last 2!) I reckon they should start layin by about October time - fingers crossed and watch this space. I used to have lots of chickens when I lived in England and do so miss a good fresh egg.
