Last year lost all my psb and kale when snow and ice covered them and they were crushed / rotted. We have over 2 feet (3 in places). I've tried digging snow put around them but impossible as it's so compacted. They were looking so healthy too! Gutted

Haven't had any snow at all. Loads of frost, parsnips and sprouts soaking it up!!

I was so looking forward to my Kale but like you it doesn't look good 

I am sure that my parsnips are loving it but there is no way I can get to them to find out!

We've got about 18ins of snow and my kale is also underneath it (along with my leeks and the remainder of carrots and spuds I'd planned to take up at the weekend :o(

Think how Farmers feel when this happens  

Last year, I tried winter cabbage/caulis and lost the whole harvest , so didn't bother this year.  Have got in leeks, swedes and parsnips - they all did well last year
