There are SO MANY things that I have never heard of and now would love to try. Thanks for posting that link News, I've added myself to their newsletter list and hopefully can restrain myself till next year. Or can I cram in a large container with chervil roots...?

Funny you should say that, I've ordered chervil roots and have no idea where they are going   Can't see why they won't grow in a pot.  Carrots do well for me that way, so I was thinking of going down the pot route as well

I fell for them too - then after buying read up on them and found out they are ready from late summer in the year after they were sown. D'oh.

I think they will be OK 

I got differing facts when I looked them up.  American sites advocate sowing the seeds in the autumn and then harvesting the following summer.  UK ones say it is an annual, sow early as it needs a period of cold, then harvest that autumn
