Storm Bella on the Way Weather Warnings in Place
« on: December 26, 2020, 11:13 »
Watch out, the winds from the SW are forecast to start to increase here from tea-time and  gusts of up to 58C expected by tomorrow morning.
I'll have to wire the greenhouse double doors shut again, as they'll be facing the worst of it, plus moving anything that can blow about under the hedge, out of the way.
Stay safe everyone.

Thanks for the warning, I’ll have to go & fasten my green house doors too, I use those tie wraps that you can undo

Just got going here, Mum!

JRT will look out of the door, sniff, peer at me in that funny way she does (s** this for a game of soldiers), and run back to her chair...

Lawn in back garden flooded as is part of the road outside.  Everything in the garden seems to be where I left it although washing line looks a bit snooker than usual.  Rain has stopped.

It stopped here, a nano-second after I posted above!

Big puddle by the gate though, so that's another job for later - relay the bricks...

That was lucky. It howled all night here and you could hear things go bang and crash in the dark, but we have survived unscathed thank goodness  :)

The noise woke me up at 5am.  I could hear things crashing around outside in the road.  We don't seem to have suffered any damage thank goodness.  We keep having brief showers now.

Don’t think it was too bad here, I heard it lashing with rain in the evening & we couldn’t have the bedroom window open very much, but I didn’t hear anything after we’d gone to bed. Just back from the chickens & it had blown the enviromesh off the leeks but was still pegged down on the far side, so we vet taken that off& put it in the wheelbarrow & put it in the shed to dry but that seems to be about it

Bella didn't make it to this part of the world - breezy for a while but that was about it.
