Just to be different I have a Ryobi 410rb. (From USA)
It looks much like a Mantis and is about the same weight - does the same job. Can be carried around (I brought it home from London on the train wrapped in a bin-liner). My father-in-law had given up his plot so passed the machine on to me. It's a 2-stroke.

I already had an old Howard 200 which I wouldn't swap for a new style tiller as its drive wheels mean it does the moving and I just hang on. No reverse is something you get used to.

The Ryobi, like the mantis, are good for breaking soil down for seed beds and keeping weeds at bay (but there again so is a rake and hoe!). The Ryobi helped with compact clay on a new half-plot - made a good job of mixing in compost once I had dug it through first.
