allotment shed

hi all

off to look at a allotment site in the morning and was thinking about a shead as dont sound like theres one there

they state they have to be factory sheds so cant make one

any ideas where i could get one from as cheaply as possible?

dont have to be that big but im a little short of pennys at the min so just thinking about cutting costs

Factory shed = :? suppose they mean a proper job not a homemade one :roll:

Freecycle would be a good start Nat.

had thought about it rich but its full of wanted adds now and its not much good if you are looking for bitds anymore.

Well if you make it off site and then just assemble it on site, they will never know will they. Lots of bought sheds come in pieces for you to assemble.

Just a thought.

I know its a bit of an imposition, but you must know someone with a trailer to transport the bits in, or if you have a tow bar you can hire one for 1 or two hours.

I bought a 8'x6' from gardenbuildingsdirect.co.uk for £195 and it's a really good quality shed.
If you want cheap and cheerful Wickes do a 6'x4' for around £125 (bought last year so could be more now).

don't buy one for an allotment.... I ended up hunting for a year and kept asking people at my site if they had any. Well one day someone did and tada I have a lovely free shed

just bought a second hand shed on ebay

its a shiplap one too 8x6, if im not aloud that size i will cut it down to 6x4 (thats what i wanted realy.

not even sure what the concrete bace size is so will check that after work tomorrow but fatching the shed tuesday morning, thing is tho its a 1oo mile round trip :cry:
