Title: Newbie with Roto question
Post by: The Silver Surfer on February 25, 2013, 17:58
Hola todos,

I live in Andalucia Spain and have recently started gardening.  This is my second year now and I've been experimenting with what will grow in the 50C direct summer sun and -5C & snow in winter.  As I have quite a large amount of land I thought I'd expand on my experimental plot and go 'large'.  So I bought a cheap 2nd hand rotavator.

The issue I have is that there's no identifying make on it and I need to replace the two drive belts on it as they were missing (and work out how they're run!).  Can anyone please point me in the direction of where I can find a makers mark or where I might find supplies for this unidentified machine.  It does have 168FB on the petrol tank if that's any help.

Thanks in anticipation.

Some pictures would be a good start for someone to try and identify your machine.

I hope the photos work, I'm using a friend's photobucket.  I'd really like to know a make & model and if possible, obtain a manual for it please.

No that one has the drive belt located on the side, mine has two belts located just behind the motor, under the squarish red thing in the middle.

If anything it is nigh on identical to this one on fleabay;  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230728429764?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

There seems to be a few companies who've branded this machine as their own and I guess ultimately it doesn't matter who's name is at the top of the user manual!

I did try contacting this seller about getting a copy of the manual, but they weren't interested unless I bought the machine from them!!!!!!!

I just found a yoootube link to an identical machine (-d1RFcux1Q4), so I guess Maxtra is the road to go down on my search.

Do you have an electronic version of it or just paper?  I'd be very grateful to get a copy from you in whatever format you can provide.
