My potatos are up although a little frost bitten and have been offered some well rotted chicken manure, would I be ok to put it around the potatos?  I was going to put grass cutting along the rows as I have heard it is good for spuds what do you all think?

Failing that is there anything else I can put the chicken manure on?

Can't do any harm. Spuds are very heavy feeders.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Much better than grass clippings, just don't cover the foliage with it.
