hi all
 i planted apple,plum,pear and cherry trees last october and have just found out i can have another 5 rods at the bottom of my existing plot any thoughts on if it would be ok to move them as i have the extra space now
or should  i leave well alone

Yes by all means, but do it now before they starting waking up in a couple of months.  I move my fruit trees a couple of years after planting with success.  You don't even have to use a root ball, just dig and pull them up. , as in bare-root.

Why not leave them and plant some more in the new ground. Certainly with apples it's a good idea to have several trees so that you can pick from August to November. The late fruiting ones can be stored to give you apples for about 6 months of the year
