Does anyone have any tips for keeping cut spears from PSB from going floppy after harvesting?
I had some in the fridge for a few days at it was pretty floppy by that point. Still OK to eat.
I have a lot to harvest-it will stand for a bit but just wondering if anyone had any tips or shall I just accept that it is a short shelf life veg?

Treat them like cut flowers. Put them in a glass of water, having snipped off the bottom cm or so, in the fridge. They will keep fresher for longer.
Same applies to calabrese from supermarkets too - it won't go yellow as quickly.

I would put them in a plastic measuring jug in fridge in water.
I normally prep veg for dinner and then put it in a jug with water.

Had this myself and found that after washing under cold water I wrap up in a plastic bag and leave in the fridge. Keeps good for quote a few days.

Steam them for 2 or so minutes and then freeze. Perfect for year round PSB and stilton quiche :D
