Hi all

Just after some advice.  The leaves on my raspberry plants Autumn Bliss have started turning yellow  .    I gave them a feed of FB&B & a few chicken pellets as I thought the chicken pellets will take a while to dissolve into the ground.

I found a soil testing kit today which show my PH as 7 (its only a basic test so can't really be more specific).

What do I need to do to save my lovely plants and get the best crop possible.

Have they had enough water? it's been so dry this month they may just need a good drowning

Have you watered them so the BFB has started to work? They are shallow-rooted so may need some water anyway. I would give them a foliar feed with with a dilute liquid seaweed extract which will contain magnesium and other trace elements.

Thanks both sorry I should have said I've watered them and gave them a drink 24hrs after applying FB&B.

Goosegirl - when you say foliar feed excuse my ignorance would this just been sprayed onto them and can I use Tomato Food thats the only seaweed feed I know of??

If they are going yellow then it is unlikely to be a potash deficiency.  Tomato food is high in potash so I would not recommend it.

I would give what you've applied time to take effect.

Thanks Yorkie - I was worried I applied the wrong stuff reassured no one has said I shouldn't have done what I did

Hopefully we will get some much needed rain and it will work wonders - fingers crossed!

Keep watering them; if they don't pick up then you might want to try watering on a solution of epsom salts.
