just got my potatoes i ordered from my allotment shop,i have been told there is a shortage of maris piper seed potatoes,seeing i ordered these three mths ago ,im none too pleased,i hae been given 7lb of ulster chieften ,which i understand is first earlies,when i wanted 7lb of maris piper,im not too pleased so taking them back this morn to sort it out,,any one else had any probs with maris piper??

All 3 of my local garden centers (West Mids) have an abundance of Maris Piper

I have got 40 tonnes of Maris Piper at my place. Sounds like your being told porkies :(
Ulster Chieftan first earlies are nothing like Piper maincrop.

Wasn't a shortage when I got mine, which isn't a million miles away from you in Bognor.

my Wilkinson had maris Piper, but they seemed to most popular so i had to keep checking until there was some in stock.

there were plenty when I picked up my seed last week, although I went for deseere this year. I would go and have a word if I were you

i took them back ,,,and said i want piper spuds.
turns out they are getting some more in ,in about 2/3 weeks,so i said i would wait as these are what we eat and want.....
seems like some one ordered wrong,and thought they could fob them off on me ..mmmmmmmmmmm
