flea beetle advice

(1/1)

Grubbypaws:
My baby brassicas are full of holes and some have perished. There is no sign of slugs so I am presuming this is caused by flea beetles?

The raised bed has been covered to protect from birds and cats. I have taken the cover off to encourage wildlife to eat them. Is there anything else that I can do? I was intending to plant celery in this bed, will they feed on this as well?

Hampshire Hog:
Hi there grubbypaws
According to RHS celery isn’t a brassica so fingers crossed the flea beetles should leave them alone. RHS doesn’t favour sprays instead telling you to install some frogs to eat the blighters. Perhaps given recent weather we could all have some frogs to protect our crops. Good luck

Nobbie:
Usually keeping thing damp puts them off, but I can’t imagine anywhere being dry this spring.
