Hello everyone, I'm sure I sent off the plea for advice, but I cannot see it.

Anyway...is there any benefit to be had by constructing a small greenhouse inside a greenhouse?

In my experience, in early Spring and Autumn, it means plants inside are less likely to suffer from sudden cold spells, but in the depths of winter temperatures seem roughly equalised.

eg It means early planted tomatoes may survive a late frost, in the Autumn many plants will continue a bit longer.. but it isn't fool-proof protection from really harsh Winter weather like we have right now.

I have two in my small greenhouse so I can pot on plug plants then pop them inside, and I also put in a max min thermometer as a guide.

I have a small plastic flyaway greenhouse I put inside my full sized greenhouse every spring.  I put tomato, chilli and aubergine plants in there before it is warm enough to leave them just on the shelf.  It seems to work.
