Mild, overcast and very windy. Intermittent bursts of rain.

It's mad here - strong winds but warm, sunny one moment and showery the next. Everything battened down so hope we'll be OK,

Very windy but no rain. We were really surprised to see some wind kite surfers at Brook as only last month the wind which was  less than it was today had picked  someone up and slammed   him  into the cliff face at the same place.

Monsoon-type rain but quite mild and calm

We had 4mm of rain yesterday evening and 1mm early this morning - every little helps, so they say! It's bright this morning and 19C, but you need a cardi because of the 'strong breeze'.
My tall dahlias look as if a tornado passed through them, stems bent over in all directions  Best find some strong canes and try to sort them out, then...

Sunny periods, warm but still have the strong winds. My dahlias are all over the shop as well. Had to pick most of them this morning.

Well here we go, high winds and driving rain. Not too hot at 15ºC either

Happily everything was battened down last night so no flying greenhouses.

Woke up to gentle rain and now the wind is getting up 
The home greenhouse doors are clamped shut, so fingers crossed. The plastic was barely on the allotment frame after last weeks storm and the forecast today is for stronger wind gusts ...

Wet, windy and only 10 degrees at 9.00 in Glasgow today.

The rain has stopped and it is looking brighter.  But at only 18c and 56 mph gusts it doesn't feel warm.  Also it is actually like a very long continual gust

Rain overnight, now sunny and very gusty.

Dull with occasional rain this morning, then a spell of sun and blue skies, now gone overcast again. Wind's not been too bad. Having said that, our place is far more sheltered than where we used to live before where it's probably blowing a hoolie now! .

It's like March, this morning - 16C, bright blue sky, scudding clouds with wind still gusting 34mph'
Crashing pots woke me in the night - some terracotta ones by the front door were blown over and smashed. The begonias which were in them, weren't much better, so I've some clearing up to do

It is like that here Mum,  a fortunate thing about being so deaf (and there are not many !) is that night-time no hearing aids, cannot hear anything !!  Lots of clearing up for me too.

Yesterday we had an inch of rain and wind gusting up to 33mph - don't think that really warranted yellow Met Office warnings all day for both wind and rain (they will surely be increasingly ignored if they use them as a convenient way to cover their backs against another 'Michael Fish incident.')
