I have them, I went over to Surbiton, there is a guy over there who has chicks, hens, eggs all of various ages, various breeds, I opted for some day olds, 6 Marans, and 5 assorted, (I dunno what they are, they were picked for their cuteness value, blame the wife  :) )

They are in my small brooder, 9ne is in a tee shirt, being warmed up, it was cold and pretty lifeless (too long in the car coming home)

The big one is on her own now, but getting agitated she can hear the chicks (i have taken her off heat in the daytime now)

here are the photos, not very good, but they give a general idea what I have

It's all about the journey, not the destination

When they have settled in and are a bit more lively, I'll take a couple more photos

The little grey maybe a Lavender Araucana or Blue Leghorn

But who really cares, it looks cute

I have serious chick envy.     They are soooooooooo cute.

You can put a hot water bottle or heated pad covered in a towel when collecting chicks so they don't get too cold.   ;)

I wish I had thought of that before I picked them up, I didnt think the traffic would be as bad as it was, but the one that was warmed up in the wifes hands is now fine

A couple justr sit under the bulb, I dont know if they have any problems, they alll looked fine when I picked them up, so I think I'll just keep an eye on them, notr really sure if they are all hens though, even the seller wasant sure

Here is a photo of the one that had the hobble (and the only one left of those I hatched myself)

She is very well, loves company, likes just sitting on the wifes lap (must be lonely for her, she can hear the others but cant see them)

Its going to be a few weeks before they meet up
