How long should a hen be sat on her eggs for?
« on: July 03, 2008, 09:38 »
I've got a hen who went broody, so I popped some eggs from a neighbour who has two cockerels running with her hens under her.
She has been sat on them now for 24 days.
At what point should I give up and take her our of the broody coop or should I leave her and let her give up on them herself?

I would probably give them just one or two  more days  then take them away from here if nothinghas happened. She might have been a bit slow starting on them.
