On average how many cobs does a plant produce given good conditions?

I've never got more than 1

Others have reported 2 or even 3 in a bumper year.

all of my sweetcorns produced 2 cobs per plant. was very impressed.

I am always happy with two, but sometimes get three

last year I even got some tillers that set cobs - it was a good year
