The girls are about 4-6 weeks from laying acording to "Grant " the breeder I got them from, so I will just have to be patient 

  Good advice re, the rats, the box,s move easily so will keep an eye on things, thanks.

This breeder is quite new to the game but he has one brilliant set up, built up over the past year or so. Any Northern chook keepers would be wise to check him out.

 As for the size and weight of the eggs   of course I will do much better than that !!!
