First egg from winter non layer
« on: February 17, 2012, 19:50 »
Esmerelda who stopped laying the week before Christmas then went on to have a partial moult just before the snow came rewarded us with her first 2012 egg today . Also I can't believe how quickly her neck appears to be thickening with new feathers. If only my hair grew that quickly x

Ridiculous how excited we were, we get loads from the other girls just nice to know nature had caught up with her again. She went out of her way to get a cuddle today as well, can definately say they have less attitude when laying x

Can agree with the attitude thing, three of mine went off lay when molting and were very skittish.  Two are laying again and back to normal just one left that I can't catch!   ::)

I was going to advise a good cuddle to reward her for her present, and a delicious treat too, but I see you have  :)
