Morning Glory
« on: September 15, 2019, 10:44 »
It is about 6ft tall, and quite bushy and has many many buds on it all summer.    I have spoken loving words to it, threatened it, encouraged it and been patient.     Today it has rewarded me with one flower !!!!!   When I looked a second time to check I wasn't dreaming there was a beautiful Red Admiral enjoying it as well.
But I do wonder why it has only just flowered and why not all summer.     Mrs Bouquet

If you're sure it's had no flowers then perhaps it needed some fertiliser with plenty of Potassium/Potash (the K bit of N:P:K in fertilisers)
If it is growing somewhere that gets early morning sun, the flowers will close early as well - perhaps you missed them?
