coop floor
« on: November 12, 2007, 21:57 »
Does anyone know if it is safe for me to cover my coop floor with lino?  I have a self made coop with a removable floor, but as we move in to the wetter part of the year the base is becoming tighter with the expected wood swell.  I am looking to cover the floor so that I can give a more regular "wipe down"

Obviously lino should be easier to clean than the wood.

Will the chickens try to eat it???

I had an old piece down in mine last year and it seemed to work well, I think it's to hard for them to eat, but you will need to put mite powder or similar underneath and inspect for mites occasionally.
